We had another great day today. We started out in the OR, where I saw a hardware removal, a complicated forefoot reconstruction, an ankle ligament reconstruction, and an AC ligament reconstruction. Then, with our trusty guide, Anja, we went sightseeing! First to the Residenz, a baroque palace know for its Tiepolo ceiling fresco and it's fully mirrored room, then on to the Festtung, or fort, a medieval castle, with incredible views of the city and the Main (pronounced "mine") river. Later, we had dinner at a vineyard, also overlooking the town, where we drank plenty of local Sekt (champagne) and wine, and had a variety of small plates, like German tapas. I have been eating and drinking so much that I am going to look like a knoedel (dumpling) when I get home.
