This morning I went to the pediatric orthopaedic clinic at the Charite hospital in Berlin. I wasn't surprised that it was filled with toys for the kids to play with: most peds clinics have toys. I was a little surprised to see this particular Fisher-Price dollhouse, however. I had the identical one as a child (check out the tiny doorbell that treally works!) This thing is practically an antique.

Ah yes...I remember it well.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I was going to say the same exact thing as Jonathan did. Did you test the doorbell. In the upper windows you can even see the rounded edges of the rug on the floor of the master bedroom. Did they, by chance, have the little yellow staircase with the little closet? I loved everything about that little house.
ReplyDeleteI was afraid to test the doorbell..I didn't want to be disruptive in clinic! And I didn't want to open the house, in case they thought I was nuts. I was actually going to mention the staircase with the little closet (just like in Harry Potter) in the post...that was my favorie part :)
ReplyDeleteClinic or no clinic, I don't think I would have been able to resist testing the doorbell.
