Our hotel, Blaue Gans (Blue Goose) is an interesting combination of old and new. It's the oldest hotel in Salzburg...guests have been staying here for 690 years. But it's modern as well...it's an "art hotel"...part gallery, part guestrooms. It even has an artist-in-residence program (for those of you in Omaha, it's like a mini-Bemis Center.) It's also perfectly located in the heart of the old town, and my room is a nice combination of cozy and cool.
