I typically read more than one book at a time. Usually, one fiction, one non-fiction, and one short stories or essays. I just finished a collection of essays, The Devil and Sherlock Holmes by David Grann. They’re mostly true crime and profiles of interesting people, originally published in the New Yorker. They’re very well-written, and pretty interesting, especially the one about a French man who impersonates children. I also found the one about the baseball player Ricky Henderson fascinating, though I know next to nothing about baseball, and had never heard of him prior to reading it.
